Our workshop was very busy during the covid outbreak in Tanzania. We produced over 3000 masks as well as coveralls, aprons and boot covers that were used to keep health care workers safe. We were also lucky enough to donate 500 masks to our local health centres. Our tailors were amazing and through trial and error came up with the “gold” mask design, triple cotton, trifold so you can adjust size, and elastic tying ribbons.
We are SO please to be partnering with a Days for Girls Chapter in USA! The Durham East Team has started up their chapter and are super motivated and well connected within the Days for Girls network! We can wait to get kits to the schools they are supporting!
We have registered for the Mesula Arusha Farmers Market! We will be there for the first time on Sep 5th, 2020. This is the first time having a location in Arusha. We will bringing soap to sell but let us know if there is anything else you need!
We are proud to produce quality cloth pads which provide a solution to period poverty in Tanzania. Young girls miss a lot of school days because they don’t have access to pads during their periods. We provide a solution that gives girls dignity and allows them to stay in school. Not only school girls benefit from the pads, but women as well; some prefer cloth, and many can’t afford to purchase pads every month.
We are now proud to offer two style of cloth pads, the Days for Girls, as well as our own design!
These are made with PUL, cotton, and soft and absorbent cotton flannel. These are designed to be easy to wash and more importantly, to dry quickly!
A kit comes with 2 panty liners, 6 everyday pads, and 2 overnight pads. It also comes with a waterproof wet bag, and a ziplock wash bag.
Essential oils are distilled from plants and are highly pure and concentrated. They have many uses that can be cosmetic, medicinal, and antimicrobial. These amazing healing oils are non diluted, have no additives, and smell delicious!
Living in Tanzania I have always found it challenging to find essential oils when I need them. While these are made in Tanzania we are now importing and distributing top quality, undiluted essential oils.
Wow, we are now officially Tanzania’s only GOLD CERTIFIED Days for Girls Enterprise. That means our quality of sewing meets the requirements, as well as our business record keeping, and brand affiliation! We can also access the beautiful Days for Girls branded fabric that make our pads look great!
Moskito is producing quality cloth nappies, and we are the only ones doing it in Tanzania! These are cute, soft, durable, and effective. Made with kitenge, PUL, and super soft and absorbent flannel, these nappies are amazing!
